An updated current-gen downloadable version of the classic turn-based
strategy game Nectaris / Military Madness is in development for all 3
consoles:
Xbox 360 XBLA - PS3 PSN - Wii Ware.
It should be released this summer/early autumn.

I spent a great deal of time playing the original Military Madness on
TurboGrafx-16 in 1990 so I'm very, VERY much looking forward to the
new release.

If you have a PSI , PS2 , or a PS3 that will play origional
playstation games , pick up Neo Nectaris . This game has the origional
TG 16 game on it plus an entirely new campanige for it. The game also
lets you make your own battles with maps and different Armies. You can
use the origional cheats on the origional campanige so you can play as
the green Army . This game is almost as good a Saturn's Iron Storm . I
also have the TG 16 game Military Madness which Neo Nectaris is
fashioned after . Great game indeed . Also on Neo Nectaris the battle
scenes are upgraded if you choose to open them .

I agree that Neo Nectaris (which is basicly Military Madness 2) is a
great game and a must-play for those that liked the original. However,
Neo Nectaris not playable on a PS1,PS2 or PS3, unless the PS3 can run
PC-Engine CD-ROM emulation like MagicEngine or some other emu. Neo
Nectaris was not released on any PlayStation console. There was a
game released for PS1 called Nectaris: Military Madness in 1998/1999,
which is an enhancement of the original TG-16 Military Madness with
some additional maps, plus the original maps, and optional 3D battle
graphics, but does not contain the maps and units of Neo Nectaris.

You are right . I was thinking of Nectaris Military Madness . It is
the one I own . Just got the name mixed up . However it does have an
extra campanigne of the same length as the original Military Madness .
